Free health services will be available to community members next Friday, July 29, at the Lancaster Family Health Center in Salem.
The event, at 255 Lancaster Drive N.E., will offer a host of health services free of charge as well as games, raffles and entertainment.
The clinic is one of several scheduled at different locations throughout the summer put on by the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic – an organization that provides medical, dental, behavioral health and social services to more than 191,000 people a year.
They operate two community health clinics in Salem and an adult and pediatric clinic in Woodburn. The nonprofit clinics focus on providing affordable medical care to everyone, including those without insurance, in both English and Spanish.
At the free event, sports physicals will be available as well as immunizations and blood pressure screenings.
Food including tacos and popcorn will also be available while kids can have their face painted, ride a pony and take part in a photo booth.
There will also be raffles with prizes and giveaways.
The clinic will run from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
