Salem man charged with murder in death of partner
A Salem man has been charged with murder in the death of a Salem woman this week.
Matthew Brian Hansen, 29, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon after Amanda Mankins, 32, was found shot in a northeast Salem home Wednesday, police said in a news release Friday.
Mankins later died at Salem Hospital.
Police said Hansen and Mankins were in a relationship and both lived at the home.
Hansen remains lodged at the Marion County jail and will be arraigned in Marion County Circuit Court Friday.
