In-N-Out Burger is the latest Marion County workplace to report a Covid outbreak.
The Keizer location of the popular fast food chain, located on 6280 Keizer Station Blvd, reported five employees have contracted the virus, with the most recent falling ill July 29, according to the latest state data released weekly by the Oregon Health Authority.
Workplace outbreaks are included in the weekly report if there are five or more employees confirmed to have the virus.
Pan American Berry Growers, a farm near Brooks, reported 22 people with the virus in an outbreak that began July 29. The farm didn’t return calls by Wednesday afternoon seeking comment on how it was addressing the recent outbreak.
Marion County recorded 242 new cases of Covid in the past week, about the same as the week before.
The NORPAC food packing plant on 4755 Brooklake Rd., reported five cases. The most recent onset was on Aug. 2. The other NORPAC facility in Salem, located on 2498 Madrona Ave., has reported 18 cases since June 5.
Salem Hospital reported six additional cases in the last week, bringing its total to 34. The most recent onset was on Aug. 5.
The Amazon fulfillment center in Salem didn’t report any additional cases in the last week and remains at 20.
At the Oregon State Hospital in Salem, 13 people have tested positive for Covid. According to the hospital’s most recent update posted last Thursday, no residents have tested positive but 16 staff have at both the Salem and Junction City locations.
CabDoor, a cabinet maker in Salem, reported one additional case in the last week bringing its total to 11.
MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn didn’t report any additional cases in the last week and remains at seven.
Bruce Pac in Woodburn reported one additional case in the last week bringing its total to six cases.
The Oregon State Penitentiary didn’t report any additional cases and remains the largest workplace outbreak in the state with 185 cases.
Polk County doesn’t have any active workplace outbreaks.
Long-term care facilities continue to be drivers of cases locally, with one additional facility reporting an outbreak in the last week.
Silver Creek Senior Living, on 708 Evergreen Road in Woodburn, reported three cases since a case was first reported on Aug. 5.
Cedar Village, an assisted living facility located at 4452 Lancaster Dr. N.E., reported one additional case in the last week, bringing its total to four.
Hidden Lakes Independent Living didn’t report any additional cases in the last week and remains at seven since an outbreak was first reported on June 18. One person has died.
Capitol Manor in west Salem didn’t report any additional cases in the last week and remains at seven.
Tierra Rose Care Center, a nursing home at 4254 Weathers St. N.E., didn’t report any additional cases in the last week and remains at three.
Farmington Square Assisted Living, on 960 Boone Rd. S.E., reported 15 residents positive with Covid. Seven have died in an outbreak that started on June 23. Last week, spokesman John Heitkemper said the rest have recovered.
