The namesake of the nonprofit Isaac’s Room would have turned 21 this year and the community is invited to celebrate with an evening of games, dinner and drinks at the Willamette Heritage Center. Isaac’s Room runs programs for struggling young people to teach job and other life skills. Looking for some junk? The Great Junk Hunt is headed to the Oregon State Fairgrounds Friday and Saturday. Visitors will get a chance to shop from vendors selling farmhouse, vintage and handmade goods, among others.

Elementary-aged visitors to the Salem Public Library should prepare to be scared when they enter the very scary Halloween mansion on Saturday. The spooky event takes place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 585 Liberty St. S.E. More info is online.

Time to dress like the undead and go to the Oregon State Capitol for the annual Salem Zombie Walk. Hundreds of people are expected to gather for a stroll through downtown Salem. Celebrate the Celtic new year with dancing, fiddling and folk stories this Sunday. Samhain is a Gaelic festival that marks the end of harvest season and the beginning of winter. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Willamette Heritage Center and guests can learn about Celtic history and heritage. Kids can take part in mini highland games like caber toss and welly throw. 1313 Mill St. S.E.
Organist Gail Archer will perform at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church this Sunday to benefit Haley’s Heroes Foundation. The event starts at 4 p.m. and is free with a suggested donation of $25. 1444 Liberty Street S.E.
