Police say Phillip Johnson drove his truck into a home on Southeast Vista Avenue Tuesday morning and shot his former romantic partner. He then fled police east on Oregon Highway 22, where he fatally shot himself.

Police say Etrien Shively shot and killed Antonio Castilleja before fatally shooting himself while fleeing police. The Salem men, both 21, “were known to one another through their romantic involvement with a woman,” according to a news release.
A shooting in a south Salem apartment left one man dead early Sunday morning. Police say the suspect led an officer on a vehicle chase before crashing into a business building, where they were found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
