Good evening from your team at Salem Reporter.

Whether you’re looking to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, pick up a pumpkin or just get some candy with your kids, there’s no shortage of events around Salem this weekend.

Our updated Halloween and fall event guide, below, now includes a Saturday evening offering from the Salem Art Association. As part of the Aeterna exhibit, a community altar to remember the dead, the association is hosting a Dia de los Muertos celebration featuring music, traditional dancing and Mexican food.

Check it out at the Bush Barn Art Center, 600 Mission St. S.E., from 6-9 p.m.

In the meantime, here’s some of today’s news. Catch all Salem Reporter’s stories anytime on our website.
