So, snow is still in the forecast for Salem tonight and tomorrow. The National Weather Service on Wednesday afternoon forecast maybe an inch or two of snow overnight in Salem as temperature dips to 25.

Chemeketa Community College announced it would close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, canceling classes.

The Oregon Humane Society also announced it was closing at 4 p.m. Wednesday and would re-schedule appointments.

“The shelter animals are all receiving great care this afternoon from our staff and volunteers,” said Laura Klink, Humane Society spokeswoman.

But the weather should clear up for the weekend and that’s good because some great entertainment options are coming up. We’ll get you up to speed in stories we start publishing tomorrow.
