Good evening….

The phrase that can get Salem in a tizzy is back in the forecast: “chance” of snow.

The National Weather Service has that chance, but it’s for higher terrain – 700 feet or higher and even then the forecast calls for “new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”

We’re keeping an eye on the forecasts for you in case something else comes along.

The anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was observed in recent days and now a benefit concert is planned in Salem to help refugees. We’ll have details this week on how you can take in some amazing music on Saturday and help those in need.

Meantime, we all may learn more about where matters stand with a new superintendent for the Salem-Keizer School District. The community is supposed to get a public update from Chairperson Ashley Carson Cottingham when the board meets Tuesday evening.

Here’s what else is new in the neighborhood….
