Don’t look for a puff of white smoke but the Salem-Keizer School Board is expected to announce it’s pick for new superintendent.’

The board is scheduled to meet Tuesday evening in executive session, which is closed to the public, and then convene at 6 p.m. in public session.

The board and recruiters have been working behind the scenes for months to find a superintendent to take over when Christy Perry retires. The new boss is scheduled to start July 1.
