With the turkey and pie put away, the region is entering the season of lights.
Starting this weekend, chances in Salem abound to explore local landmarks with colorful displays, sip cocoa, meet Santa and more.
One Salem favorite, Magic at the Mill, runs this weekend through Monday at Willamette Heritage Center.
The annual celebration lets guests explore the lit-up grounds of the historic woolen mill and browse a holiday night market featuring work from local artisans and vendors. There’s more on that and in our events guide below.
If you’re planning to get started on shopping this weekend, a group of downtown businesses are offering a collection of special deals, including discounts and raffle entries. They include the Book Bin, Art Department, Bigwig Donuts and more.
Street parking is free Saturday in downtown Salem for Small Business Saturday.
