Good evening, Salem.

If you’re an animal lover, you can shop for clothes, games, plants and more while helping dogs at a yard sale this weekend.

Three nonprofits helping local canines have teamed up for the sale, which runs Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1905 19th St. N.E.

Proceeds benefit Operation D.O.G., which covers medical expenses for low income dog owners in Marion and Polk counties; Prevent a Litter, which raises money for spay and neuter surgeries; and Little Critters Rescue, a Salem foster-based dog rescue.

Here’s some news to round out your week. You can always find our latest reports on our website.
