Good evening, Salem.
And both Salem-area counties are faring worse than that average. In Marion County, turnout is just 17%, with 37,618 ballots returned as of Monday morning, according to the Secretary of State’s office.
Polk County voters have done slightly better, returning 18% of ballots, or 11,652.
