Cherriots added a new bus route at the start of the month to directly connect south Salem residents with the Amazon Fulfillment Center at 4775 Depot Ct. S.E.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

Route 22, called the Kuebler Link, opened on May 5, saving riders several transfers. Commuters riding the route from its start can reach the Amazon facility in about 20 minutes, versus the previous 75-minute trip that routed people downtown to change buses.

From May 5-25, the route saw 721 riders, according to Patricia Feeny, Cherriots spokeswoman.
