Board member Satya Chandragiri, the sole incumbent running for re-election, is up by 446 votes over challenger Kelley Strawn, a Willamette University sociology professor, following an updated count from Polk County released late Wednesday afternoon.

An initial ballot count released at 8 p.m. Tuesday had Strawn ahead slightly. Votes from mailed ballots will continue to trickle in over the next week.

Marion County will release its next ballot count Thursday.
