Good evening, Salem.

Spring is on the way! (We hope that sentence didn’t jinx Salem to a bonus round of March winter, as sometimes happens in Oregon.)

If the milder weather and longer days have you eager to get back in the garden, there’s a seed swap coming up this week to help. The Salem Public Library is collaborating with Oregon State University’s extension office.

The event is Saturday, March 7, from 1-3 p.m. at the main library, 585 Liberty St. S.E., from 1-3 p.m. You can bring plant cuttings, seeds and houseplants to swap, or just come grab some to take home. Local master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. See more here.
