Good evening, Salem.

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed early Sunday morning in a residential area on the outskirts of South Salem. 

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The teen was found shortly after 1 a.m. in the 5500 block of South Skyline Road.

David Ayon-Urbano, 18, has been charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in the boy’s death. 

Officials aren’t identifying the victim.
