Grass pollen levels continue to be very high, with Eugene-based Oregon Allergy Associates recording pollen levels at 967 particles per cubic meter of air. Tree and weed pollen, by contrast, is closer to 10 particles.

According to the national allergy map published by Pollen.com, no other region in the U.S. is recording such high levels of grass pollen.

Tuesday is also expected to be hot, with the National Weather Service in Portland forecasting a high of 92 degrees. Highs will return to the 80s and high 70s for the rest of the week.
