Your Monday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.

Starting this week, crews will begin working to repave a stretch of Southeast Liberty Street, also improving its bike access, installing new sidewalks on the west side of the street and replacing curb ramps.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The repairs will be on Southeast Liberty Street between Southeast Trade and Mill Streets. Construction signs will start going up this week, and the work is expected to be finished this winter, according to the city website.

The $440,000 project is funded using the Safety and Livability Bond voters approved in November 2022.
