Good evening, Salem, and Happy Juneteenth!
If you offer civics education or would like to, the Oregon State Capitol Foundation wants to help.
On July 1, the nonprofit will open applications for civics education projects that teach Oregon students about government fundamentals, including through trips to the Capitol and other focuses on state government.
Applications are open through September 30, with $80,000 in grants available. More information and applications are on the Capitol Foundation’s website.

After 52 years, the RAM Restaurant & Brewery at 515 12th St. S.E. closed its doors Tuesday, but the restaurant’s owners said they are looking for a new location.
