Good evening, Salem.

If you have medications you need to dispose of, you can drop them off at the Keizer Elks Lodge this weekend.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, the lodge at 4250 Cherry Ave. N.E. will be accepting medications for safe disposal in their original container or sealed bag. The event is organizer by MED-Project USA, a nonprofit that operates medication disposal programs.

Any medication is accepted other than inhalers, biologics, sharps and emptied medical devices. Herbal remedies, vitamins, supplements and animal medicines will also not be taken.
