The fair’s flash sale runs today only, with adult and child admission tickets on sale for $1.85 – one penny per acre of fairgrounds.

Tickets are only available online and require creating an account to purchase. As of Thursday morning, many users were complaining of delays buying tickets or not receiving confirmation emails. The fair said on its Facebook page that the website was running slowly due to high traffic.

The Oregon State Fair runs Aug. 25-Sept. 4 at the state fairgrounds in Salem.
