As temperatures head into the 90s this weekend, this is a good time to remember to keep an eye out for others.
If you know of seniors or others who live alone, give them a call or drop by to be sure they are staying cool.
The Oregon Health Authority advises: “Check on at-risk friends, family and neighbors several times a day. Heat-related illnesses can make it hard to think clearly. This means people may be in danger without realizing it. Make sure loved ones have what they need to stay cool.”
Watch for those who don’t seem to have shelter from the heat.
And take care of yourself and your family – lots of water and then more water.
