Good evening, Salem.
Federal immigration agents shot and wounded two people in a Portland medical clinic parking lot Thursday afternoon, The Oregonian reported.
The news comes a day after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis, sparking widespread protests in the Twin Cities, Portland and elsewhere.
In Salem, a Saturday protest over the shooting is planned for noon outside the state Capitol. Salem Region Indivisible, which has organized other protests against the Trump administration, is leading the event.
We’ll keep a close eye on these developments and their impact in Salem.
