Young people don’t often get a headlining role at local civic events, but five will take the stage Friday for Salem Civic Club’s lunchtime program focused on the American Dream.
The nonpartisan civic engagement group has invited five Salem teens and young adults from Generation Z – those born between 1997 and 2012 – to weigh in on what the American Dream means to them and whether it’s still relevant in today’s world. Read more about the panelists here.
Catch the program at noon at the Willamette Heritage Center’s Dye House, 1313 Mill St. S.E. It’s free for city club members and $10 for non-members; you can register online here.
