Your Wednesday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.
Sixty-two high schoolers are getting a unique form of school in a hangar at the Salem Municipal Airport. It’s the latest career education program from the Salem-Keizer School District, focusing on piloting aircraft and drones, as well as aircraft maintenance.
Students moved into their new digs this week and are trying out full-body simulators that move with the plane’s controls and working on a real fuselage. You can learn more about the program in our story below.
