Good evening, Salem.
This evening is the First Friday Art Walk, with special opening receptions at a number of local galleries in the downtown area.
Our roundup below of this month’s art exhibits has more information about them, from the popular erotic art show held in February at Salem on the Edge to work from local landscape artists at Elsinore Framing & Fine Art.
If your creative inspiration is more tuned to music, you can also stop by McKay High School’s first-ever mariachi festival on Saturday. The event brings together school mariachi groups from across the state, and has performances running from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $10. The school is located at 2440 Lancaster Dr. N.E. Learn more about McKay’s growing mariachi program in our article here.
