Your Friday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.
A water line break at Riverfront Park has closed the south restrooms next to the playground for the weekend.
City crews from public works and parks are working on the issue, and expect to reopen the bathrooms on Monday, Feb. 5, according to a Friday statement from the city. The park is located at 200 Water St. N.E. and signs will be posted on the facility during repairs.
“We understand that this may be an inconvenience for many of our park users, and we sincerely apologize. Park visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly when visiting Riverfront Park and use the north restroom facilities nearest the splash pad as an alternate location,” the statement said.
