Good evening, Salem.
It was the wind storm that wasn’t.
Aside from a few gusts, Salem has been largely quiet today, with partly cloudy skies giving way to a bit of afternoon sun. That’s good news for everyone with travel plans, as well as the line workers, public works employees and others who won’t be putting in overtime on Christmas repairing downed lines and clearing trees.
Our team will be off tomorrow for Christmas, but Salem Reporter will return to your inbox Friday.
Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating, and safe travels this holiday season!
