Good evening, Salem.

Several parking spots in the Salem Public Library parkade are closed for the foreseeable future after a wall in the structure was damaged Saturday.

City officials briefly closed the parkade on Saturday, then re-opened it after a city engineer and fire staff determined it was safe, said Trevor Smith, city spokesman.

The damage is on a cement wall on the middle level of the three-story structure. Smith said a repair timeline was unknown and could take several months.
