Good evening, Salem.

Paving work on two bridge strengthening projects in Salem is expected to be done next week.

City crews will pave bridges on Northeast 17th Street over Mill Creek, near Chemeketa Street, and Southeast Mission Street over Pringle Creek, near Bush’s Pasture Park, according to Jason Roberts, public works spokesman.

Work beneath both bridges will continue through October, with some intermittent lane shifting. Improvements have been finished on two other bridge projects on Northeast Liberty Street and Northeast 15th Street over Mill Creek, he said.
