Good evening, Salem.
Several people have reported seeing cougars at Minto Brown Island Park recently, the city of Salem said.
Reported sightings have been at dusk and dawn, and the city hasn’t confirmed them. They’re a reason for caution, not alarm, city officials said in a Facebook post Friday. Cougar sightings can be reported to the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife in Corvallis at (541) 757-4186.
