Good evening, Salem.
Fire crews responded around 9:45 a.m. to the northbound freeway lanes near Illahee Crossing. according to Cpt. Max Alberts of the Turner Fire District.
The car on fire was pulling a trailer carrying two vehicles. The trailer and one of the vehicles on it were damaged. No one was injured in the fire, Alberts said.
The freeway was shut down for about 20 minutes before one traffic lane was opened.
“The cause of the fire is unknown currently and under review,” the fire captain said.
