The repairs are to fix damage to the vestibule that happened last November when a man died by suicide in the lobby, department spokeswoman Angela Hendrick said.
The agency announced the closure Monday on social media and said it hopes to reopen Thursday, if not sooner.
People who need to file a non-emergency police report while the lobby is closed can call 503-588-6123 and select option one. To pick up forms or records, call 503-588-6144 and select option nine.

Who’s debating: Chris Hoy is the current mayor, seeking a second term. Julie Hoy, a local restaurateur, is serving on the Salem City Council. The Hoys are not related.
Who’s asking questons: Cindy Condon of Salem City Club, Abbey McDonald of Salem Reporter.
Who’s moderating: Les Zaitz, editor, Salem Reporter.
When: 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 30. Doors open: 5 p.m.
