Your Thursday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.
Tonight, work crews will start overnight construction at the intersection of Southeast Commercial street and Southeast Hilfiker Lane. Crews will work nights through Sept. 30, the city said in a traffic alert.
The construction project will affect bike lanes and left turn lanes in both directions on Southeast Hilfiker Lane. Crews will also replace existing traffic signals, install new ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps and make stormwater improvements.
The schedule for construction is:
Thursday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Friday.
Sunday, Sept. 22, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Monday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
