Salem and Keizer police and the Oregon Department of Transportation can check your child’s car seat for free Thursday in downtown Salem.
Staff who are certified in car seat inspections will check seats and demonstrate how to properly install them.
The event runs from 2-6 p.m. on the first floor of the Marion Parkade, 538 Liberty St. N.E., on the north side of the parking structure. Organizers ask that participants bring the car seat, and use the vehicle they’ll most often put it in.
