If you happen to be on a walk or run through Riverfront Park, you might notice a collection of knitted winter clothes around the Eco-Earth Globe.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The clothing is part of a “take as you need” yarn bomb project by a Willamette University knitting class. Anyone in need of warm clothing this season is welcome to take a scarf or hat from the installation.

Earlier this month, Salem Reporter wrote about the Willamette University professor David Altman and his course’s effort to help the community stay warm. Below are some photos of the installation from the city of Salem.
