Good morning, Salem.
Downtown Salem’s holiday parade will return on Friday, Nov. 29, bringing festive cheer to the city streets.
The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. at Northeast Court Street, near the Oregon State Capitol. It will follow Northeast Court Street and take a turn on High Street, before ending at the corner of Liberty and Court Street, the city said in a statement.
There will be a tree-lighting ceremony at the end of the route.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m., including chances to greet Santa Claus, hear carolers and enjoy holiday window-displays.
Starting at 4 p.m., the parade will close several blocks of downtown to traffic, including Northeast Court Street, High Street, State Street and Northeast Liberty Street, the city said.
