Good morning, Salem.
The 28-acre park at 2220 Strong Road S.E. is currently undeveloped and was previously the home of the Fairview Training Center, a state campus for people with developmental disabilities.
The city has developed two design ideas for the park based on over 350 responses to an earlier survey.
“Option A prioritizes sports fields and an amphitheater, while Option B focuses on a more natural feel with a community garden and creek,” the city said in a Facebook post.
