Fuerza Campesina, the organization hosting the event, was started in 2021 by the ARCHES Project to address language barriers people faced when calling the social services nonprofit for help.

Those who attend can learn about Oregon’s paid leave program, applying for health insurance, preschool enrollment, local schools and emergency food boxes, the organization said in a Facebook post.

There will be free food and raffles at the event. It’s scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gym at Hoover Elementary School, 1102 Savage Rd. N.E.
