The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.
The private Christian university in southeast Salem announced it will begin offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree for undergraduate students.
The program is intended to boost the number of local nurses as the U.S. faces a growing shortage of healthcare workers after the pandemic, according to a statement from the university.
“Especially here in Oregon, there are fewer nursing programs and fewer nurses compared to other states across the country,” said Dr. Beth Bailey, Corban’s director of nursing, in the statement.
