Good morning, Salem.

December means lots of chances to see local student musicians performing holiday and winter-themed music around Salem.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The Oregon Capitol will host performances from area choirs starting today and running through Dec. 23. Salem schools, from elementary through college, are set to perform. There’s a full schedule here and performances will be livestreamed at this link.

The Salem-Keizer School District is also partnering with Salem Center to bring student music performances to the mall food court all month. Student ensembles includes choir, mariachi, orchestra and band. Performances are generally around 11 a.m. or noon and feature groups from across the district. A full schedule is here.
