Tonight is the winter solstice, and anyone is welcome to join a group of carolers celebrating by serenading downtown Salem.
Yule Make Music, organized by the same folks who do Make Music Day, will meet at 4 p.m. at Ritters, 102 Liberty St. N.E.
After caroling, the group will continue the festivities with a tour of downtown pubs for karaoke and holiday-singalongs.
