Good afternoon, Salem.
The author, Carmen Rita Wong, is a personal finance expert who is Dominican and Chinese. The memoir shares her experience being raised in a vibrant multicultural community in New York before a major cultural shift in moving to New Hampshire when her mom marries a white man.
The library will be giving away 300 copies on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday. There will be English and Spanish copies available. The giveaway will be on the library’s main floor at 585 Liberty St. S.E.
There will be a limit of one book per visitor. In a Friday Facebook post, the library said copies are also available for purchase at Friends Bookstore, Salem Book Bin, and Reader’s Guide.
