Good morning, Salem.
Two weeks ago, we featured a dog adoption event at the Marion County Dog Shelter that opened the kennels to the public for the first time since the pandemic.
The event was successful with six dogs finding new homes, said shelter director Lauren Thielke.
“We’re happy with the turnout, and will be planning future events and working towards opening our adoption kennels for regularly scheduled hours as well,” she said.
