Good morning, Salem.

The Pentacle Theatre is holding open auditions for the classic whodunit comedy “Clue: On Stage,” based on the 1980s film.

They’re seeking eight actors to play Wadsworth, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum and the other iconic leading characters, and three actors for the ensemble.

The audition will be Saturday, May 18, from 1 – 5 p.m. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and actors are asked to arrive early to fill out an audition form, and stay until 5 p.m. Headshots and resumes are optional, but welcome.

To audition, the actors will be reading lines from the script which can be borrowed from the Pentacle Theatre office by calling 503-485-4300.

Actors are asked to bring their calendar and a list of any conflicts between May 18 and Sept. 14. The shows will be Aug. 23 through Sept. 14. If there’s a schedule conflict on audition day, contact the director Brandon Gitchel at 503-509-9086 or by emailing [email protected].

Finally, one correction: Yesterday’s edition included information a planned bridge replacement on Northeast Hazelgreen Road. The bridge is over the over the Pudding River, not the Little Pudding River as we erroneously said. Thanks to reader Mark for pointing out the error.
