Good morning, Salem.
The Rotary E-Club of the Willamette Valley and South Salem Rotary Foundation are seeking your help to help families in need.
The clubs are hosting a “Community Baby Shower” to collect items for newborns and babies, especially diapers, new or handmade clothes, blankets and quilts.
“These donations make a difference to those in need throughout our community,” event coordinator Marcy Crenshaw said in a statement. “The families deeply appreciate the items they receive. It touches their hearts that strangers cared enough to give them items for their babies.”
Donations, including financial contributions, can be taken to the Willamette Vital Health Memory Garden at 1015 Third St. N.W. on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Items will be distributed through the Department of Human Services and other agencies working with families in crisis.
