A micro shelter project about a year in the works is slated to open this week for young adults in the Salem area.
Homeless service provider Church at the Park will hold a ribbon cutting on Thursday, July 13, for its new micro shelter village at 2410 Turner Rd. S.E.
The site will serve people ages 18-24, with five trailers containing 40 beds, according to the city of Salem’s website.
The opening event will include lunch between noon and 1 p.m., dedications at 1 p.m. and self-guided tours of the village from 2-4 p.m. Find more information online.
