Good morning, Salem.

The Salem on Tap Brewfest returns this Friday, bringing a selection of over 80 beers, ciders and spirits to downtown Salem along with live music, food, painting and yoga.

The annual event celebrates local and regional craft brews, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties.

The festival will be at the Salem Convention Center, 200 Commercial St. S.E. on Friday, Aug. 18, from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 19, from 2-10 p.m.

Participating food carts include Gilgamesh Brewing, Eddy’s Phillys, Fuego Mexican Grill and Maui Melts. Live music starts at 5:30 p.m. both days

At 6 p.m. on Friday, Yoga + Beer will have a free class for all skill levels, with a suggested donation of $5 to $10.

Salem Board & Brush will have art projects available for attendees to paint while sampling beers, for $20 to $25 per person.

Day tickets to Brewfest are $20 in advance, by Aug. 17, or $25 at the door. Tickets include a souvenir glass and four beer tastes. Additional tasting is $2 per pour or $6 for a mug. Designated driver admission is $5.
