Good morning, Salem.

Road construction on Northeast Broadway Street starts Monday, June 19, and will last around six months.

The work will add a center turn lane and bike lanes by reducing the street from two lanes in each direction to one each, between Northeast Pine Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway,

The improvements will also add a new traffic signal, ADA curb ramp upgrades, new trees and pavement repairs at the intersection of Northeast Pine Street and Northeast Broadway.

During construction, left turns will not be allowed when travelling north or south on Northeast Broadway Street.

Most of the work will take place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., according to the City of Salem.
