Good morning, Salem.

Six months ago, a jury unanimously found that a Salem police officer used excessive force against a protester when he shot her with rubber bullets three years ago, awarding her over $1 million.

But a federal judge ruled earlier this month that that the officer didn’t violate a right that had been established in previous court rulings.
